YANKEE UPDATE

Joba cannot save this team. As a starter or a relief pitcher.

Both Farnsworth and Bruney are hurt. That leaves the only seasoned relief (other than Joba and Mariano) left is Latoya Hawkins.

Also, Girardi seems to not care about pitching both Joba or Mariano more than one inning. Remember, with a bunch of young arms on the Florida Marlins, Joe used the pitchers way too much. The following year many had arm injuries.

With too many DH’s and poor starting pitching, I say the Yanks remain a .500 club.
